My full name is Emil Webster Rivers. You can call me Emil.
I was born on Roatan in 1983. My family has been on this island for five generations, so Roatan is not a market to me. It is home, and there is no place like home.
I trained as an accountant, and that never left me. I read a deal the way I read a ledger, one line at a time, and I want you to see every line before you sign anything.
For 16 years I have run Beachers on West Bay beach. I also run Blue Horizon Studios in West End. Today I am an associate with RE/MAX Western Sunsets, and I help Canadians and Americans buy homes on the island I grew up on.
Why I do it
I care about sustainable growth on Roatan. I want buyers who come to stay, become neighbours and look after the place, not people who take and leave.
So I will tell you the downsides as plainly as the upsides. If a home is wrong for you, I will say so. I live here, and my name stays on every deal long after the closing.
